Founded in 1990 by Dean and Davis Factor, great grandsons of acclaimed Hollywood makeup artist Max Factor, Smashbox is known throughout the industry as a hub for world-class photographers and directors to shoot important content for major magazines, ad campaigns, music & entertainment projects and brand visuals. In 1996 Dean and Davis launched Smashbox Cosmetics that has become the leading trend-setting global brand. The 25,000 square foot facility returns as the premier creative destination and event location in LA.

Offering state-of-the-art design and technology, the studios can be configured in any way to meet your special event needs. Smashbox is ideal for private events, red carpet galas and anything in between.
Design:
Smashbox Studios was completely renovated in 2014 by Gensler. The midcentury modern studios include mezzanines/VIP rooms, large windows and landscaped outdoor spaces.

Lightbox is one of the most desirable and exclusive studios in LA. Drenched in southern, western and eastern light, it is a truly unique space for events. The studio also features a 300 square foot VIP Mezzanine and a stunning 750 square foot private patio.

Softbox:
