The latest addition to Edinburgh’s burgeoning restaurant and bar scene has opened its doors in Scotland's Capital City.
Already a hugely popular restaurant in Glasgow, ‘Six by Nico’ on Hanover Street in Edinburgh’s New Town area is the brainchild of renowned Scottish- Italian Chef, Nico Simeone, and boasts a minimal design, starkly contrasted by grand fixtures and fittings with atmospheric mood lighting.
Pioneering a revolving culinary hub, every six weeks, Nico and his team will re-invent the wheel – serving a brand new six-course tasting-menu – each one themed upon a different place, memory or idea.
Drawing inspiration from both at home and abroad such as the docklands of Leith to the vineyards of South America, Nico and his team will combine different ingredients, flavours, and dishes, to bring memories and stories to the plate creating a brand new dining experience every 6 weeks in the New Town restaurant. Each new chapter will be kept a surprise and new menus will remain secret and published two-weeks prior to the next theme.
Bookings for the initial concept have overwhelmed the team with over 5000 bookings received ahead of the official opening. The 2500 sq foot restaurant is host to a 70-cover restaurant, a wine and cocktail bar and offers the very best of beautifully sourced produce. Diners can book a table now for 'The Chippie', which runs from March 30th - May 13th 2018. Open from midday, Tuesday through to Sunday, each six-course menu will be available from noon to night. The menu will be priced at £28 per person and diners will have the option to enjoy an expertly selected wine pairing for an additional £25.
