Venue Setting

Our venues collection creates an epic backdrop for all events, from large gala dinners and award ceremonies, inspiring daytime conferences and landmark product launches for up to 400 guests, to intimate private dining and hospitality for 5 to 10. We also pride ourselves on hosting romantic and unforgettable weddings at three of our venues. Hosting an event in our venues makes for a truly unique ocassion, whether you experience the more modern space of the Peter Harrison Planetarium and the National Maritime Museum’s Neptune Court to the historic settings of the Royal Observatory, Cutty Sark and the Queen’s House.

Our location just a short stroll from the Thames means you can incorporate arrival by boat into your event for an memorable start.

Additional charges

Royal Museums Greenwich comprises five historic venues available for dry hire. Additional charges include catering, AV Production, Florals and Entertainment. We work with an accredited list of caterers, production companies and florists. 

For corporate events, we require an organisation to have Public Liability Insurance up to £10 million covering the date of the event held at our venue.

We offer a flexibility within our venues whether you are looking for a corporate meeting, a themed event, gala dinner, an away day, staff party, weddings and other landmark occasions. Our venues are set within stunning and extensive grounds perfect for photography and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Maritime Greenwich.

Cutty Sark
Built in 1869 to carry tea back from China, this monument to the glory days of sail travelled the world and survived the high seas. Entertaining on Cutty Sark is a truly exclusive experience, with four superb locations for evening events. The ship’s gleaming copper-clad hull is suspended dramatically above the Dock –an awe inspiring event space ideal for receptions, dinners and product launches – while the ‘tween deck – where precious cargoes were once carried – also provides a unique space for dinners.
The Queen's House
The Queen’s House has an extraordinary history; it is the only major remnant of the vanished Tudor royal palace at Greenwich, where Henry VIII and Elizabeth I were born, and the centrepiece of what is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. . Designed by the pioneering architect Inigo Jones, the 400-year old Queen’s House is Britain’s first and finest classical building and a masterpiece of 17th-century architecture. Peter Harrison Planetarium
The Peter Harrison Planetarium is a modern, versatile venue with contemporary lines and abundant lighted, located at the heart of Greenwich Park in the striking late-Victorian Astronomy Centre. The futuristic building as well as the theme of astronomy exploration makes this a perfect place for product launches and intimate celebrations.
