Riverside Weddings at Gloria Dei has been home to Philadelphia weddings since 1700. We offer traditional Episcopal weddings, ceremonies with your own officiant, or self-uniting ceremonies . Riverside Weddings at Gloria Dei allows you the flexibility to create your ideal ceremony. All traditions welcome!
Smaller weddings or other private events up to 50 guests can continue their celebration in adjacent Riverside Hall or a tent outside (75 guests) with the flexibility to use any caterer you choose.

We are located just across the street from the Delaware Riverfront Trail, which provides additional photo backdrops along the Delaware Waterfront and numerous piers.

Venue Features

The scene:: Walk down the aisle following the footsteps of Philadelphia’s own Betsy Ross and countless other couples since 1700. The tastefully appointed church with wooden pews and stained glass windows is the ideal spot for a traditional service. Its white wall paneling and natural lighting give the space a light and airy feel while hanging candelabras add a touch of class.
Capture your unique moments in our park-like setting surrounded by nature.
Design:: Gloria Dei church is over 300 years old. A classic colonial brick church is accented with oversized red doors leading inside to the chapel space. Historic ships and candelabras hang from the ceiling, and the front of the church is accented by a unique stained glass window.
Standout venue features:: Gloria Dei is part of a National Park site and feels like an urban oasis in bustling Philadelphia. The grounds are tranquil and provide plenty of photo opportunities.
Inside the church, our historic Hooks and Hasting organ dates back over 100 years and can provide the soundtrack to your perfect ceremony.
Extra perks:: We include free parking in our on-site lot as well as use of adjacent Riverside Hall before your ceremony.
