Located atop a 150' cliff on the bath bend of the Brazo's River, our historic 1940's Rest Yourself River Ranch is a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel and event venue in Mineral Wells, Texas. Couples who choose to celebrate their nuptials with us can expect stunning views, incredible event spaces, and delightful accommodations.
Facilities and Capacity
Our expansive 14-acre property boasts six different event spaces, with both indoor and outdoor options, for couples to choose from. Couples who wish to exchange vows outdoors can find themselves standing in front of our stunning amphitheater. Sitting at the peak of the 150' Cliff, this space overlooks the winding river and offers glorious views from every angle. With a stage carved from crushed red granite rocks and benches crafted from cedar wood, this glorious ceremony site can accommodate up to 250 guests. For your reception, couples may choose to continue the celebrations in our 8,000sqft Great Lodge, which boasts high beamed ceilings, magnificent chandeliers casting light across the decorative tiled floor and wide windows look out over the surrounding treetops, creating an intimate ambiance. Or you may find yourself wanting to move to our 17,000sqft open Courtyard, which boasts over 3,000 twinkle lights, 2 stone waterfalls, surrounded by cobblestone pathways and a historic stone staircase.
Services Offered
In addition to ceremonies and receptions, Rest Yourself River Ranch welcomes pre-nuptial events such as showers, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners. The dedicated staff at this venue can take care of the setup and breakdown of events, allowing couples to relax and enjoy their day. Banquet necessities including tables and chairs can be provided, along with a selection of decorative elements such as lighting, furniture and linens. This property allows couples to bring their choice of outside vendors on-site.
Accommodation
This estate boasts a plethora of accommodation options and can accommodate up to 86. We have (3) spacious Great Lodge Suites, 22 Guest Rooms, a 2,000-square-foot cabin as well as 2,000-square foot guest house that boasts an elegantly rustic interior and river views.
History
Rest Yourself River Ranch boasts a rich and glamorous history. Built in 1946, this building was one of the first of its kind in Texas. It welcomed glamorous stars like John Wayne, Better Davis, and Ronald Reagan, and it is also rumored that the lodge operated a speakeasy and casino. Many of the original features of this property still remain today, such as the rope detailing throughout the interiors and windows.
