Rancho Santana offers a collection of distinctive seaside accommodations that serve as residence to some, and retreat to others. Affectionately referred to as “the ranch”, the grounds stretch over 2,700 acres of majestic land along two miles of shoreline which include five unique beaches. Set serenely in the Southwest Pacific just two hours from Nicaragua’s capital city of Managua by car, the property is a quiet community that enjoys purity, authenticity, and a rustic elegance. And while this paradise is the perfect setting to do nothing at all but sunbathe and stargaze, its remarkable range of terrain, unique climate and soothing coastal breezes make it a coveted destination for the more active and adventurous traveler. Rancho Santana is privately owned and operated under Tola Development Corp.

The Inn-

The Inn at Rancho Santana is a two-story, 17 room “boutique” inspired retreat featuring its own art gallery, courtyard, café, and lounge.  Adjacent to The Clubhouse at Playa Santana, The Inn offers a variety of unique and intimate oceanfront guestrooms and suites complete with spacious, private ocean-view terraces and forward-thinking amenities (like an in-room iPad Concierge).

Our Guestrooms and Suites have a maximum occupancy of two adults, while our Pied-à-terre suites can accommodate two adults and two children.  The Inn celebrated its grand opening on March 1, 2015, and is available for private event bookings and personal accommodations.

Ocean-View Homes-

They offer a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean, most with their own pool, nestled on secluded lots for maximum privacy.

These vacation homes offer the space and amenities suitable for entertaining the couple you just met at the clubhouse during sunset cocktails. Or enjoying quality time with the entire family for a month-long retreat.

They are in various locations across the entire ranch and situated in six neighborhoods — each with its own unique personality and view of the Pacific Ocean.

Puerta del Mar Villas-
These charming two-story villas are the newest accommodations at Rancho Santana.

A world-class architecture team and land planning professionals carefully designed these units and the master walkway. These villas offer incredible ocean views and all amenities are readily accessible with just a short walk to the Clubhouse.

Two and three bedroom villas range from 1,300 to 1,700 square feet with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and mountains in the distance.

Garden-view Casitas-
The Casitas (“Little Homes”) at Rancho Santana form a picturesque village of 21 two-bedroom villas delightfully landscaped with tropical flora.

The community atmosphere is perfect for socializing with other travelers. Each villa is fully furnished and has all the conveniences of home including kitchen appliances. For ocean views and breathtaking sunsets, the Clubhouse is just a short walk away.

Design:
Our property boasts Ocean-View Homes, Villas, Garden-View Casitas, and The Inn. All properties feature stylish decor and Spanish Colonial architecture that would suit well within homes along the Adalfi Coast of Italy and Santana Barbara, CA. The Inn at Rancho Santana is adorned with beautiful wood work from our on-site Mill Works.

The Clubhouse, adjacent to The Inn, overlooks Playa Santana and is an excellent location to watch sunsets, play a game of bocce ball or pool, relax by our Sand Dollar Pool, and hang out by our bar.
- View: The clubhouse includes one of our favorite sunset spots. Perfect for watching the sunset with a freshly made cocktail in hand from the bar at La Finca Y El Mar.

The Pool House at Playa Rosada:
Nestled in a private cove overlooking the beautiful pink sands of Playa Rosada is a second clubhouse and pool. The Pool House at Playa Rosada offers guests and residents a tranquil oceanfront hideaway – perfect for picnics, cookouts, cocktail parties and sunset gatherings.
- View: The view looks out over the coveted Playa Rosada. Nestled between two rock shelfs, the soft sand of Playa Rosada changes to pink as the sun sets in the background.

Our renowned restaurant with a focus on farm to table concepts. Fresh produce comes from our on-sight organic garden, while all seafood is caught off our coast.

A rotating selection of local beverages, including fresh fruit juices, buckets of beer and classic rum and tequila cocktails is also available.

Our local cooks are trained to carry forth the quality and flavors of Restaurante La Finca y el Mar into your private vacation home or villa.  It is the perfect way to relax in your seaside abode and enjoy local fare with sophisticated flair.

Located on our southernmost beach, The Beach & Surf Club at Playa Los Perros is the newest dining venue at the ranch. You’ll find a simple, fresh menu from Chef Jorge Alvarez, founder of New York’s popular Los Tacos No. 1, featuring items like fish tostadas and spicy pork tacos with fresh lime, cilantro and a variety of homemade salsas. A rotating selection of local beverages, including fresh fruit juices, buckets of beer and classic rum and tequila cocktails are also available.

Located within The Inn El Café & Lounge is a familiar concept done exceptionally well by the team at La Finca y el Mar. Start your day with a cup of Nicaragua's world-famous coffee and pastry, or a glass of freshly squeezed fruit juice. Later stop in for a delicious sandwich, a homemade ice cream, or a soda - all of which are made using local ingredients grown in our very own garden. Enjoy your food and feast your eyes on miles of shoreline from a seat or chaise in the open-air lounge.
