Rancho Pillow is a true artistic adventure for all who stay here. What began as a soulful family retreat continues to be a place where the spirit of creativity is rich and vibrant, and beckons to be shared. Poetic and playful, it's an idyllic shelter for neon treasures, Latin American folk art finds, colorful architectural restorations, and collected curiosities from both worldly travels and years of treasure hunting in this Round Top backyard. There is simply no place like it.
Festive and dreamlike, Rancho Pillow is an inspired setting for any of your important events. There has been a lot of love poured into the Rancho. The energy is unique. Strong. Undeniable. And we want to share it with you. With sleeping quarters for 28 and grounds that welcome hundreds, the imagineers at Rancho are ready to discuss all the possibilities for an unforgettable experience.- Design:
- Our design mantra? Everything belongs. A mirrored saddle from a dance hall in Wichita, Kansas in 1920 shines on a hemlock beam from a building 150 years older. A mechanical bull from an old rodeo fairground watches over the pasture. A chandlier of clustered oyster shells hangs from the sun tunnel in the climate-controlled teepee. French linens adorn a Mexican bed. Graffiti art lives alongside gold leaf. City luxuries and country serenity. Antlers and wildflowers. Music and love. Everything belongs.
Among the other thoughtfully-designed buildings, at the heart of Rancho Pillow is an 18th century, three-story Dutch barn originally built in upstate New York, carefully disassembled and moved to its current location. This awe-inspiring building, now stamped with a vintage porcelain sign from the 1940s off the Rancho Pillow Motel, was masterfully reassembled and made into a truly magical space. Massive hand-hewn timbers of hemlock frame both grand and intimate spaces for dining, dancing, working, playing and connecting. - Standout Venue Features:
- Over the years, guests have wanted the feel of their event to be as unique as the property. We offer STYLING AND DESIGN SERVICES that could only come from this place of perfect imperfection. We know that many of you know what you want, and we can help you make that happen. And for those of you who need some ideas and suggestions, we have no shortage of those.
TREASURES FOR RENT While our thrifted inventory is always changing, Rancho Pillow has a curated collection of found objects and one-of-a-kind pieces available to rent for your celebration. It's all on property and ready to use. Even the matte turquoise 1950 Studebaker pickup truck.
Constructed with native materials and finds from the antique fields, THE BATHHOUSE at Rancho Pillow is farmhouse elegance at its best. Cedar coyote fences offer open-air privacy for two pedestal tubs and two showers, mirrors and sinks, and four toilets. If you’re lodging in the teepee or camping nearby, it’s only a few steps to the Bathhouse for a luxurious soak or shave.
A HEATED SALTWATER WADING POOL beckons you for a moonlight swim or a refreshing dip while sunbathing.
You can feel a part of nature in the tents at CAMP MOONLIGHT. Rancho Staff can set up a camping experience under the big, starry Texas sky. We'll provide everything you need for a peaceful night's rest as the crickets and frogs sing you to sleep.
