The scene:: In the heart of the Château de Vullierens estate sits the exceptional Portes des Iris, a 16th Century historical monument. A perfect balance of authenticity and modernity, it’s the place you seek for unforgettable events.
This is the perfect venue to organize a gala evening, employee day/evening, conference, team building activity, product launch, charity event, family party, wedding, birthdays or even outdoor events such as a garden party or an orienteering event. The two terraces, which can accommodate up to 1600 people, offer a direct access to the most spectacular garden in Switzerland.
Design:: Portes des Iris was originally a monumental and splendid farmhouse dated from the 16th century, one of the largest in the area. In 1998, it was converted by the owners of the Château into a prestigious banqueting centre able to host events of all kinds. The main building overlooks the famous gardens and sculpture park and offers a beautiful view of the Alps and the Mont Blanc. Portes des Iris, which is easily accessible, is only 20 minutes from Lausanne and 40 from Geneva.

The six original vaulted stone doors are the focal point of the building. Glass has been used to preserve the views and the natural daylight and wrought iron decorative elements evoking the garden’s irises and daylilies made by a well known artisan in Siena, Italy were added. This unique decor includes as well original chandeliers and lights and Leds, a perfect marriage of ancient masonry and innovative contemporary elements, evoking the famous flowers of the castle grounds. The works of art, painting and antique furniture are from the private collection of the Château.
Standout venue features:: The building has six rooms and seats up to 700 guests. The largest room can accommodate up to 450 people seated, features an ancient fireplace and a 12 meters high wood beam vaulted ceiling and four independent multi-use platforms for entertainment. Another elegant reception room for smaller group, located on the ground floor, offers direct access to the garden, it is air-conditioned and has its own bar and private entrance. A conference and wedding ceremony room on the 3d floor can welcome 280 guests theater style and is equipped with a build-in sound and projection system. Additional rooms are available for nursery, staff, preparation, workshops.
