We particularly loved the tranquil atmosphere in the master bedroom downstairs – it's on the lower-ground floor, so there are no windows, but the open-concept bathroom (complete with a rolltop bath) and quirky arched ceiling more than make up for the lack of natural light. Situated in the Marais, the locale has a historical charm with medieval, cobbled streets. It's widely considered to be the cultural epicentre of the capital, with many artist shops, trendy bars, local boutiques and art galleries to while away your day in. And with Notre Dame a twenty-three minute walk away, you won't be far from the famous sights – although there's always the metro nearby in case you'd like to travel further afield.
