The scene:
Pennard House has been in the same family since the 17th Century. The house offers home from home comfort in the large drawing rooms and dining room, with warm fires and family Labradors, and upstairs elegant English country bedrooms. The tipis in the gardens and converted Coach House offer a unique bohemian addition to a traditional English setting. The gardens and surrounding orchards offer ample walking space and there is a Victorian fresh water swimming lake and a croquet pitch for the more active.
Design:
The south facing lawns, rose garden and Victorian lakes are perfect for receptions and drinks parties. The recently converted 18th century Coach House building is a fully fitted event space, with original features creating an atmospheric dining room, dance floor, bar and unique seating booths.
Standout venue features:
The Coach House is a unique event space, perfect for parties, presentations or retreats. The village church is within walking distance so there is no need to drive anywhere throughout the day Guests can stay in handmade 16ft tipis, with double beds, warm linen and facilities.
Extra perks:
All tables and chairs are included with the rental fee. The Coach House is complete with a fully fitted bar, lighting, heating, toilets and sounds system so there is no need to hire these in separately.
