A ten-minute drive from Rhodes Town, this beautiful villa is an architectural marvel. It’s apparent in the lounge, where a golden circle in the ceiling marks the outline of a blue dome outside. A lipstick-red chaise longue twists into a scroll, reminiscent of ancient Greece, and gallery-white walls are adorned with original modern artworks. Hallways are lined with clay vases that look like they’re on loan from the Acropolis museum and mosaic floors are cooling underfoot. It’s the outdoor spaces that really take the biscuit here though. If you’re not whiling away the days poolside, it’s a ten-minute drive into Rhodes Town, where the shambling medieval streets of the UNESCO old town are home to pretty courtyard restaurants, old castle walls and independent boutiques. For a day at the beach, the soft sand of Paralia Kallitheas is a five-minute drive (or leisurely half-hour stroll) away.
