A boutique wedding and private events venue, Mountainville Manor is an intimate 19th century Victorian estate tucked away in the rolling hills of the Hudson Valley. The romantic, historic estate is just one hour north of New York City, sitting at the base of the Schunnemunk Mountain. Mountainville Manor is an authentic venue dedicated to a fine harmony of simple, classic cuisine using mainly the natural abundance of the Hudson Valley, combined with a meticulous focus on impeccable guest service. At the helm is James Beard award winning chef, Craig Shelton. Chef Shelton masters a complex balance that emphasizes both taste and technique to give you an unprecedented dining experience. Our tastefully decorated manor, beautifully landscaped grounds, fresh mountain air, and award winning cuisine provide all the key elements for the most memorable day of your life.

Mountainville Manor's Bar Chef, Sally Rich, creates amazing cocktails based on seasonal ingredients. Cocktail syrups are made in-house from fresh, organic ingredients.  Vodka and Bourbon are house-infused with locally sourced fruits.  Wedding packages include customized signature cocktails, created based on the season of the wedding and the couples own, unique preferences and flavor profiles.

Our baker, Denise Smith, of My Daughter's Cakes bakes all of our wedding cakes fresh with fillings containing real fruits, high-quality chocolates, aromatic vanillas, and pure flavors. Additional handcrafted sugar work is so exquisite they look like real flowers.

Mountainville Manor Chef Patron, Master Chef Craig Shelton, is a Relais Gourmand Chef. Chef Shelton began his distinguished career by training in eight of the world’s greatest restaurants, including El Bulli, Jamin, Ma Maison, L’Auberge de l’Ill, Le Pré Catelan, Bouley, Le Bernardin, and La Côte Basque. He went on to pioneer the farm to table movement on the East coast as Chef proprietor of The Ryland Inn, with its three-acre certified organic garden, giving diners the experience of homegrown cooking that “speaks to the soul”. Chef Shelton has earned countless awards including a James Beard Best Chef medal, NY Times 4-Stars ratings on four separate occasions, a 5-Star Forbes rating and the Relais & Châteaux Grand Chef title.

Chef Shelton is also Mountainville Manor's sommelier and believes nothing will enhance a dining experience more than perfectly paired wine selections. Chef Shelton can personally assist event hosts in choosing which labels to feature with their menu, carefully considering how the nuance of the wine’s characteristics will enrich the flavoring and weight of each dish. Chef Shelton can also create a dish to accompany a wine selection. Both the experienced and inexperienced wine enthusiast is certain to find this selection process a delight.
Extra perks:
Mountainville Manor weddings are all-inclusive packages and we only host one wedding a day, giving the couple and their guests exclusive use of the venue and property, including private bridal suite and a groom's room. All of our packages also include Day of Coordinator, ensuring a smooth and seemless day for the wedding couple. Tables, chairs, linens, plateware, flatware, glassware are all included.
