The Snowflake Bakery is a 18,000 sq ft historic brick warehouse in San Diego's East Village neighborhood, which is quickly developing into the Art District of San Diego. Previously the Snowflake Baking Co, boasts original brick walls, custom flooring, and modern industrial accents- making this an ideal blank-slate space for your intimate gathering.

Eats & Drinks
Food, Restaurants, Cafes, Bars & Lounges
Food, Restaurants, Cafes:
We do not have any on-site eateries, but we are blocks away from various neighborhood favorites. East Village connects the hub of downtown to the quaint surrounding neighborhoods. Within blocks, you can find small local joints as well as heavy-trafficked downtown favorites.
Bars & Lounges:
We are blocks away from various neighborhood favorites. Our team personally loves walking to Lola 55 for tacos + drinks or taking a break and playing games and enjoying the food + drinks at Punch Bowl Social.

Ladies ladies ladies. We recently attended a gals only, 70's glam event hosted by San Diego locals, Jill of Layered Vintage and Melissa of Pow Wow Design Studio that brings the perfect #girlpower party inspo. From the moment you walked in the door, you could feel the those disco vibes from the cocktail menu to the dance floor. Of course, food was passed and drinks were poured but you could also get your hair styled, nails polished and shop with the variety of local female vendors there.

Girl gang goals were definitely achieved and to top it off, the decor wasn't the only inspiring part of the evening. There was a rare energy in the air - an energy you don't find at many events. The warm feeling of respect danced around the glitter filled room as women connected with one another over genuine compliments, conversations, and collaborations. It was a special night where these dynamic women let their guard down, forgot about work, stress, and their hardships to foster new and old relationships alike. It was a city of women that came together and empowered one another at a time of unprecedented importance.

The Report

This venue is VRV (Venue Report Verified); Venue Reporter Cortnie has personally visited this venue. Deep in the heart of downtown San Diego, a city known for its pristine beaches, surf culture and proximity to the Mexican border, lies this super chic industrial warehouse space or as it’s posh proprietors, The Moniker Group refer to it, “dream factory.” High on character and charm, low on pretention, whatever your fantasy fete may be, you can be sure it will come alive at the Moniker Warehouse.

Chief designers The Moniker Group, who own and operate this lovely locale say, “Design is more than bits and pixels, more than pretty lines, more than a magazine dream. At the heart of design is great human experience. And the greatest human experience is the kind that expands your vision of the world. The kind that shows you what a better world might look like, and what it will take to build it.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. It’s why we clink our glasses. Pore over inspiring invitations. Create fabulous florals. Play with words, themes and memes. Each element contributes to the larger whole. We’re setting a scene and for one day or night, creating an experience that won’t fade off into the ether. True human experience is the collection of small, nameless moments that in the end, stitch the fabric of our lives.

The heartbeat of this place echoes within this urban setting, or quite possibly what we’re feeling is the thoughtful care and craft from Moniker founders, James & Ryan who truly believe Moniker’s goal is to help people live out their stories and to make every far-fetched idea or mental image a tangible reality. We instantly loved their passion for the community and revitalization of downtown San Diego the moment we met them. We gathered around a super cool new whiteboard table they had just constructed and immediately felt like old buddies.

HOW WILL MY GUESTS GET HERE?:Fly into nearby San Diego International Airport (approx. 10 miles away) and take a car. Or the train. San Diego is known for its extremely convenient (and fun!) trolley system.
