- Warm greetings and fond farewell are extended by general manager or top level management team every single time during check-in and checkout.
- We call our butlers here as Patih, derived from the Sanskrit word meaning the persnal advisor or the right hand of the king and queen.
- There is a weekly resort cocktail that usually happens every Thursday evening. During this time, all guests are invited and there will be an artist-in-residence showcasing traditional Balinese painting workshop as well as Balinese 'Rindik' music performance.
- Pool amenities are offered daily every one hour from 12:30 to 16:30. This includes complimentary fresh young coconut, savory and sweet light bites, sunscreen service and many more.
- The resort has two temples. One of the temple called 'Pengiasan' Temple was kept as it is during the resort construction. It is said to be almost a hundred-year-old and still belongs to a Balinese family.
- Our Mandapa Camp, children facility, features an organic garden where a cow named 'Manda' lives together with chickens, ducks and rabbits.
- Some water feature at the resort are inspired by the design of Tirta Empulholy water temple andGunung Kawi shrine.
- Our Executive Sous Chef, Bayu Retno Timur, recently participated in the prestigious Bocuse d'Or 2018 cooking competition representing Indonesia and was placed in the top 10.
- Mandapa Spa is the first spa in Indonesia to partner with Subtle Energies, an Australian wellness solutions founded on authentic Ayurveda principles sources the highest grade of oils.
- Jelajah Indonesia is our indigenous cocktail experience, showcasing cocktails using distinctive ingredients from eight different islands of Indonesia. The menu is very unique, it resembles a map of Indonesia. Check the video here.

- Inspired by an indigenous Balinese village, Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is beautifully set where the lush jungle meets the Ayung River and temples stand majestically against a backdrop of rice fields. Mandapa incorporates a rice terrace at its center allowing guests to have an immersive local experience of the planting and harvesting of this most important Balinese resource.
- Design:
- Designed and constructed by the world-class architect Miles Humphreys, enhanced with the traditional yet contemporary Balinese interiors by Jeffrey A. Wilkes from the renowned Asia-based interior design firm, Designwilkes, Mandapa was inspired by “mandapas,” Sanskrit for temples, of Ubud, creating a sacred space for devotees to rest their mind, body, and soul. Mindful journey to the extraordinary – a full immersion inside the native Ubud culture, recreating the Balinese way of living.
- Standout Venue Features:
- - The design of Mandapa itself that resembles a Balinese village. A Balinese village comprises of traditional houses, source of water, rice fields, temples and educational facilities. At Mandapa, the 60 suites and villas resemble the image of traditional houses, the resort itself is situated along the Ayung River (Bali's longest river). A working rice field and a temple can be found within the resort, while the educational facility is depicted by our Mandapa Camp, a semi open-air children's club.
