The rocky facade of Salisbury Crags peeps out between buildings, which you can admire from the comfort of your outdoor seating – anyone for another single malt? In the morning, enjoy a hearty bowl of porridge before taking on Edinburgh’s hills for the day. You can trek to the summit of Arthur’s Seat in thirty minutes, but it might take longer depending on how often you stop to take photos of the striking scenery.
