The bar is created out of recessed salvaged portholes, deck lights and steel with integrated taps, wine distillery feature, and visible regulator panels for the craft beer.
The bar will feature local wines and beers from producers all around New York, as well as Mediterranean wine, beer and hand-crafted cocktails.
- Design:
The Front Dining Room is filled with sexy feminine shapes. The Octopus Shaped Banquette with rich gradient velvets and Sailor Jerry Tattoo Lights. The Oyster shaded stone tables and curved brass chairs have an abstract fishtail shape.
The cavernous wave ceiling boasts a suspended coral reef installation made of Teal Starfish Slabs of Wood from Indonesia and Custom Japanese Fishing Float Lights.
Artist Michela Martello created the Lamia mural on the original brick wall.
- Standout Venue Features:
The raw bar features a lavish Mother of pearlfish display, moss wall, and barnacle sculptural installation.
Multi-disciplined visual artist Bryan Farrell painted a multi-dimensional mural in the private dining room. Peppered with authentic brass porthole windows and custom steel and brass table.
This allows you to feel you are inside a boat as you are enjoying your multi-course dinner. The room will be available for large parties and events.
- Extra Perks:
The lower level of the restaurant will feature a robust open kitchen with communal live edge dining tables and original stone walls.
The dining area features rich mustard velvet banquets and upholstered wall with gold-leafed panels and salvaged brass porthole mirrors.
In the cellar, you will find wine sourced locally and throughout the Mediterranean.
Both the Mezzanine, Private Room, AND Grotto overlook the “Lamia” sculpture, created by visionary artist William Kurtz.
She is fabricated out of colorful paper mache and newspaper and features a working salvaged nautical searchlight for her head, octopus tentacle hair and arms, and a gown made of fish and luxurious fabric.
