Venue Setting

La Finestra sul Fiume is the story of Mattea and Pietro's dream. Mattea, having graduated in law and completed her legal apprenticeship decided with Pietro, a professional golf player, to get into to the hospitality trade. Their passion and energy led them to the idea of transmitting their love for this area. They transformed the mill on the river into a bed & breakfast, in total respect for the style and spirit of the original building. And so La Finestra Sul Fiume was born. The property dates back to 1971 and just 31 years later, Mattea and Pietro Gandini decided to live there: the restoration is the result of an inborn sensitivity and taste for beauty that can be seen in the division of spaces, careful choice of furniture and all of those details that make a difference when talking about atmosphere and charm. So this place welcomes a small number of guests, drawing them in with the charm of an area that dates back to the beginning of the 1400's where you can immediately see the mix of culture and history, freedom and naturalness and beauty with spontaneity.
