Venue Setting

Built in 1905, the Connolly Shoe Factory was renovated in 2016 to become one of the largest event venues in Minnesota capable of hosting up to 720 guests. Located in beautiful and historic downtown Stillwater, this historic building includes a full service salon, photography studio, an escape room company, an axe throwing bar and secret speakeasy. JX is conveniently located adjacent to the 250 space parking garage and the historic Lowell Inn.

Purposely ambiguous, the name “JX” isdefined by the first class events held within our exposed brick walls. Clients will have access to an unparalleled multimedia experience, optical illusion photo/video booth and a state of the art sound system. JX is a dynamic event space, bursting with modern luxuries, while still celebrating the historic charm of the building. Imagine pulling back a theater-style curtain to reveal an enchanting dinner setting.

Inclusions are 14,000 square feet of hardwood floors, access for 12 hours, a "timeless elegant" ambiance, first-class atmosphere, exposed brick with down lighting, fireplaces, round tables with chiavari chairs, special effects photo booth with digital uploads, rectangular tables, high-top tables, wireless microphones, video plug-ins, TVs, cash bar, expansive built in bar and much more!

JX Event Venue comes with two getting ready rooms that are included in your rental, The Oxford Suite and The Bourbon Room.

All guests are welcome to use our photobooth which has an Ames room optical illusion built into it.
