- The Scene:
- The home itself sits on three acres of park land with a beautiful garden that was designed by acclaimed landscape designer Jenks Farmer. As you walk down the brick walkway, before you even get to the house, you will see our cabin; it is the oldest wooden structure in Rock Hill and makes a beautiful backdrop for photographs! The White Home, with its wrap-around porches and unique architecture was originally built in 1838.
- Design:
At 175-years old, our home is an eclectic mix of architecture and charm. What began as a one-room cabin in 1838 would expand to become a 17-room home with Victorian and Gothic design elements. It features a small museum about the woman who built the house and her descendants, a charming suit of rooms for the bridal party to change in, and a two storied piazza that has been featured as one of the top "South Carolina Porches."
