- The Scene:
- Greenhouse Loft is located in a platinum LEED certified building. Our building was originally constructed in 1913 and housed both a knitting mill as well as an architecturally-inspired elegant lamp manufacturer over the years. Today, the building has been transformed into a state-of-the-art LEED Platinum epicenter for green commerce that gives back to the community and promotes environmental sustainability. Enriched by the building history and tenants who came before us, Greenhouse Loft is humbled to be a part of this incredible building's community and mission.
- Design:
- The loft features beautiful lighting design - hanging lamps designed by George Nelson suspended from the ceiling, Edison Bulb pendants above the center island, and twinkle lights around the ceiling collectively make the room is festive and bright. Natural cream and white hues on the walls, curtains, and drapes make the space a great blank canvas for any event, while white beams showcase unique structural elements of the space. Our loft is an open space and our team of experienced professionals works with each client to build a custom floor plan tailored to their individual needs.
- Standout Venue Features:
- At Greenhouse Loft we take pride in our full commitment to environmental sustainability. So if leaving a small carbon footprint is a priority, we’ll help you achieve that goal in style! We partner with vendors who share our vision and also incorporate sustainable practices in their business operations. -Locally sourced catering minimizes transportation fuel emissions -Organic catering options reduce the environmental farming impact as a whole, and greatly cut down on groundwater pollution and the use of non-renewable energy -Waste reduction achieved by serving items in bulk when possible -Greenhouse gas emission reduction through on-site composting of any food waste -All eco-friendly cleaning products, and maintenance supplies -Collection of restored mid-century modern furniture -Reclaimed 130 year old hardwood floors -Once a manufacturing facility, our entire building was restored and re-purposed -On-site recycling and composting eliminate up to 90% of event-generated waste, which would otherwise be landfilled
- Extra Perks:
- -A dedicated Greenhouse Loft Event Manager that will work with you and your vendors personally leading up to and on the day of your event. -A final walk-through led by your Event Manager and Caterer. Approximately one month before your event, we’ll review all the details of your wedding day and build out a timeline. This includes arrival, set-up, and breakdown times for all vendors, as well as timing for introductions, speeches, dinner/dessert service and other special moments. The walk-through gives you the chance to visualize every detail, finalize a floor plan, confirm any add-ons and coordinate with your vendors so you feel at ease and excited for your wedding day. -Use of our loft space filled with natural light and the adjacent 8,000 square foot outdoor garden. -Venue Manager and Security on-site for the duration of your event. -A collection of restored mid-century modern furniture - colorful and comfortable! -Eight 36” round cabaret tables. -Vintage self-service coat racks and wooden hangers. -Multiple stall men’s and women’s restrooms and a family restroom, all handicap accessible.
