In the sleepy Equinox Valley where the cloud’s kiss lingers on the mountains, our exquisitely restored 250-year-old farm is nestled alongVermont’s Battenkill River. Frost Moon Mountain is centrally located in Manchester Center just a few hours North of New York City and West of Boston. Once a working farm, the remnants of our agricultural history provide an air of nostalgia so prominent it’s palpable. Though the horse’s stalls now stand empty, we’ve preserved Frost Moon Mountain’s heritage by retaining much of its original charm while updating amenities to today’s contemporary standards of comfort. Our peaceful mountain escape combines bohemian sensibility with rustic radiance - the perfect backdrop for any event, gathering or getaway.

Accommodations: Frost Moon Mountain is a wonderful place to escape for a weekend with friends and family. Our stylishly designed Guest House is available for private rental - the perfect place for group getaways. The Frost Moon Mountain Guest House, a former carriage barn, is brimming with curated collections, fine linens, cozy textures and objects of delight. The house comfortably sleeps ten guests, with two bedrooms, one bunkroom, two bathrooms, living room, parlor room with fireplace, dinning room, full kitchen and laundry room with Maytag washer and dryer. The Carriage House can be rented for short terms as it is available. The nightly rate fluctuates from season to season.

The scene:: Frost Moon Mountain is a special haven for getting away and gathering. It is a space created with intention. It is an environment that enables magic moments, of both the big and the little unexpected kind. Big moments like your wedding day, or a family reunion that’s been long overdue. Little moments like coming inside for the night with hair and clothes still carrying musky woodsmoke from the bonfire; or that special moment when the dinner party has ended, the candle wax drips down, the linens are crumpled and kissed with red wine - but the guests remain, the sound of their faded voices and laughter blend with some light music. These are the moments and the experiences that Frost Moon Mountain seeks to facilitate.

Our restored barn, the premiere sanctuary for gathering is a large open concept space, complete with a bar, catering prep-area with commercial grade refrigeration/warming ovens, and gender-neutral interior restrooms. There several additional areas that can be used for gatherings depending on event type and preference; have your guests hike up to the top of our mountain for your wedding ceremony overlooking the valley, stage a dinner in the meadow, practice yoga under the majestic Chestnut tree, or host a writing workshop over at the Farm House. Whether you’re hosting, or attending, Frost Moon Mountain has something for everyone grab a good seat on the cocktail patio for sunset, it has the best views, take a walk around our 25-acre property, there are a lot of cleared paths, or snuggle in and enjoy s’mores around a giant bonfire.
Design:: Our event barn, the premiere sanctuary for gathering, has been meticulously restored and retains much of its original charm while incorporating contemporary amenities. Antique light fixtures bathe the perfectly patinaed, authentic barn wood that encases the entirety of the space to create an intimate atmosphere, despite the barn’s size of 1,800 square feet.
Extra perks:: Our event barn includes: air conditioning; bar, (stocking and serving must be outsourced); catering prep-area; catering prep-kitchen, (includes commercial grade refrigeration, warming ovens and dish-sinks); on-site parking for 50 vehicles, (includes two electrical vehicle charge ports); two, separate gender-neutral interior restrooms; 1,600 sqf. blue stone, outdoor patio, (which can accommodate a tent); separate, rear access for vendor load in; enclosed trash/dumpster.

Frost Moon Mountain offers decorative items for rental, such as: furniture, glassware, silverware and other vintage items. List is available upon request. Client(s) are permitted to work with a external staging/prop rental company if preferred.
