Venue Features
The Scene:
Tucked far away from the not-so-busy road, Fox Hill Farm is a 50 acre farm nestled in the rolling hills of the Delaware River Highlands. Though the historic barn is the main feature, guests can find themselves walking through the abundant shrub and perennial gardens and down into the orchard and cutting gardens where seasonal flowers are always in bloom and even a piece of fruit could be ripe enough to pick. The gardens, wooden fences, wooded glens and rolling pastures provide more photo ops than photographers ever have time. The backdrop of grassfed cattle and pastured poultry provide the farm's ambiance at just the right distance. Sunsets on the top of the hill or beside the pond are the perfect way to start the night before heading down to the barn to kick up your heels.
Design:
One might think the 150+ year old barn would be the main attraction at Fox Hill Farm, but it seems the refurbished 'Fox Den' (lower level of the barn), is just as much a hit with guests. Even the newly built bathrooms get as many compliments as both have design elements which pay homage to the history of the barn and its contents, yet speak to the modern couple. Breathing new life into an old barn, an old house and an old farm has been our passion for the past twelve years!
Standout Venue Features:
Fox Hill Farm sustainably grows as many flowers as possible on the property for use in wedding floral design. Brides can custom order their flowers to be grown right on site (seasonal only)! Brides can also bring their bridal party and mothers to the farm beforehand to pick their flowers, or even take a class right on the farm to do it themselves!
Extra Perks:
Farm style wooden tables and mixed vintage chairs to seat 130 people, warm white lights throughout dining area and on dance floor, various antique furniture for display and/or ambience, fire and fireside seating, cocktail area seating and tables, custom bar, lodging for two nights in cottage with cathedral ceilings, linens, towels and toiletries

Fox Hill Farm

Honesdale, PA, United States

A short while ago we had the chance to chat with photographer, Justin Tearney after he explored and photographed the whimsically stunning forest landscape known as Fox Hill Farm. This rustic yet beautifully antique-esque property sits upon 50 sprawling acres, nestled among the rolling hills of Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Newlyweds, Heather and Scott, purposefully chose these special grounds as a representation of themselves beginning their lives together, and further etched their love in stone through memories created by Tearney’s photographs.

Upon arrival, the farm owners and their dog welcomed everyone with open arms, a rare moment found at weddings, offering themselves as a valuable resource throughout the day for guests. Katharine, the owner and primary wedding floral designer, accompanied Tearney and the wedding party throughout the gardens for an exclusive tour, creating the ideal canvas to take photos. According to Tearney, the grounds brought with it an abundance of natural light throughout the day and into the evening, allowing him to capture much of his images on film, giving an overall feeling of timelessness and charm.
