This sleek new villa in Valbandon is still so new it's practically sparkling. Built from local stone but in a clean-cut, contemporary style, it's all white walls, big windows and tiled floors. A modern, open plan living space is given pops of colour and the stylish kitchen comes equipped with everything you'll need for cooking at home – and we just love the home's outdoor summer kitchen, where you can barbecue in the shade. There's a great wraparound garden encircled by privacy hedging, and kids will love playing on the flat lawns. To the rear, a stunning new stone terrace steals the show, complete with a private pool, comfy sun loungers and some striking modern pieces of garden furniture. Close to the beaches, restaurants and beach bars of Valbandon, and a ten-minute drive from the larger resort of Fazana, it's a great location for an authentic Istrian experience. Highly recommended is a day trip to the national park on the nearby Brijuni Islands.
