- The Scene:
- Fedora is a historic Greenwich Village restaurant unlike any other. Originally owned for 50+ years by a local legend Fedora who operated the restaurant as a hangout for Village creatives, she passed the space on to us in 2011 (she was familiar with our restaurants Joseph Leonard and Jeffrey's Grocery and liked that they provided the same type of neighborhood gathering place feel that she had created). The restaurant is a modern speakeasy - sunken below street level it's an inviting and sexy room with great energy and an intimate feel.
- Design:
- Fedora balances classic Village ambiance with a modern sensibility. Hip hop photography adorns the walls and a beautiful large bar dominates the room. The space also includes an intimate private dining room in the cellar, with a large wooden table at the center and decorated with caricatures of the original Fedora crew. There's also a private back garden where the restaurant grows herbs in season.
