Elmore Court Est. 2012
Elmore GL2 3NT, United Kingdom
The Caesar sized bed in the Master Suite has to be seen to be believed... The four poster hand carved oak bed in the Oak Room is almost 400years old (new mattresses don't worry!). The eastern view from the Time Room is the best view Elmore Court has to offer. One is able to see over the River Severn and far into the Cotswolds. The Sun comes up over the Cotswold hills and blasts the damp from the Gloucester and Severn valley. It's a magical morning visage... The Drawing Room has the biggest and comfiest red velvet sofa in the land! Drop into that bad boy in front of a roaring log fire at the end of the night and you may not escape until the wee hours. Elmore sunsets are particularly wonderful. We're not sure why. Consistently magnificent. The birdlife at Elmore Court is astounding but you have to sit still to witness it properly.

- The Scene:
- Elmore Court is set withing 1000+ acres of farmland, just inside a large meander of the river severn, caught between the Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Bristol and the Cotswolds. The house itself is 450+ years old whereas the family have lived on the estate for 750+ years!
- Design:
- The 400year old stainglass window in the main hall which contains the coat of arms of every family that every married into the Guise family. This is where we host the majority of our civil cermonies and initial drinks receptions. A roaring fireplace can be found in the hall outside the summer months.
- Standout Venue Features:
- The jewel in Elmore’s swan-topped crown is The Gillyflower. It truly represents everything that this generation of the Guise family is trying to accomplish. These festival-minded souls take the greatest pleasure in seeing you and your guests have the wedding ceremony and party of your dreams. Within the house they celebrate tradition, while in the Gillyflower they embrace innovation and evolution. The Gillyflower boasts a 200-seated dinner capacity and up to 400-dancing to the custom-made Funktion-One AmbiSonic Sound System; designed to have a specific set of features to make it perfect for weddings and events. The circular speaker layout means the sound can be contained within the dance-floor space so those who don’t feel like dancing can still converse with ease and observe the frolics of others in comfort, which is perfect for the older generation who may not like the music or its volume! Meanwhile, those on the dance-floor are treated to a sound quality worthy of any club in the world. The sound can also be calibrated to fill the whole space should you want to crank things up to a proper wall-of-sound party vibe. The building is fully soundproofed so any early sleepers in the house will not be disturbed by the music. A unique fiber-optic lighting system designed and installed by Bruce Munro adorns the Gillyflower. There are huge seated windows with views over woodland and the Cotswolds. The Gillyflower is constructed from local estate farmed timber and rammed-earth walls, which are hidden behind ‘living walls’ consisting of Ivy, Virginia Creepers and other beautiful climbing plants. Hi-speed wi-fi, biomass-powered air conditioning, a premium built-in bar, a catering marquee and an in-house events manager ensure this is the most complete and cutting-edge country-wedding venue available in the UK today.
