Venue Setting

Ekensdal was built only a few feet from the Stockholm inlet/cove in the early 1900's to serve as a tar factory during the first world war. In the mid 30's it was converted into a summer retreat/summer home. We came along in 2007 when the building had been empty for about 15 years, and we started restoration of the builing into what is now a venue for weddings, conferences, parties and cooking classes. The outside has been preserved in the original turn of the century style, but the insides has been totally revamped with a modern kitchen, stylish bar area and modern facilities. The two dining rooms are bright and are both overlooking the water ways entering into to Stockholm from the Baltic Sea.

Venue price range estimate is because we have the possiblity to have a large tent in the garden for up to 270 guests. Inside the venue we can have up to 140 guests seated in the large dining room, we have a small one as well for up to 40 people. Catering price per head is an estimate for 80 guests. We can of course have smaller groups, but price per head goes up.

Design:
Ekensdal is a old three story plastered factory style house, the outside has been restored to it's original state and style, the insides has a more modern tone with white walls and ceilings, the old plank floors has been preserved, a large state of the art modern kitchen and bar, both in Ekensdal green with yellow and brass details is the epicenter of the entry floor.
Standout venue features:
Our main perk is our unique location just a few feet from the Stockholm cove/inlet from the Baltic Sea, large cruise ships pass close by. During the summers we probably have one of Stockholms best views as the sun is setting over the nations captial.
Extra perks:
Garden lounge for our guests to hang our, play games, have some drinks before heading inside for the main event.
