This nineteenth-century Methodist chapel has been beautifully converted into a charming retreat close to the stunning Suffolk coastline. The interior is surprisingly spacious given its compact look from the outside, and it's equipped with everything you'll need for a seamless stay. Your hosts have designed the home with your needs in mind, with a wonderful mix of modern and classic furniture, furnishings and art – all sourced by your hosts on their extensive travels. At the heart of this former chapel, the large open-plan living area is perfect for gathering together as a group, with enough space to seek out a secluded spot of your own when needed. The cosiness is ramped up a notch by the wood burner in the living room, which is a perfect winter warmer. Both the spacious bedrooms are equipped with blackout blinds so that you can enjoy a lazy start to the day in the comfy beds. The surrounding village of Knodishall is a quiet place with a small general store, farm shop and a pub. Head slightly further afield, and it's just over three miles to the magical seaside village of Thorpeness (a beautiful walk across the common, fields, and forest will get you there in about an hour). The delightful coastal town of Aldeburgh is about four miles away, and inspiring Snape Maltings is close by.
