Venue Setting

Have the most important party of your life inside the preserved and historic Day Block Event Center along the Riverfront District in downtown Minneapolis. With capacities from 25 to 250, The Day Block building is the perfect setting for your intimate wedding ceremony, reception, or both!

The Day Block Event Center is just a short walk from Minneapolis landmarks like Gold Medal Park, The Guthrie Theatre, and the Stone Arch Bridge. There is both historic and new architecture along the Mississippi River which make exceptional sites for your wedding portraits. Inside the building, high ceilings, exposed brick, and wood floors make decorating easy and elegant. Amenities include a 50ft balcony overlooking the downtown Minneapolis skyline, high ceilings, wood floors, beautiful windows, exposed brick walls, rooftop access for photography, free WiFi, elevator access to the second floor Event Center, and more!

Venue Features
The Scene:
Our property was originally built in 1883 and was later restored in 2006. The venue is a Historic Preservation Award Winner and features many charming, old-fashioned accents which give the space lots of character.
Design:
Upon entering the venue, guests will enjoy loft-style architecture, beautiful exposed brick, picturesque views through grand windows and charming antique-style design accents. The venue also features a full metal wall which is frequently used by guest to hang various decorations and momentos.
Standout Venue Features:
Guests who booked with the Day Block Event Center are required no minimum food and beverage costs and also are allowed to bring in their desired caterer. This is a great feature and provides for much flexibility and cost savings. The unique style and design elements of our venue will also make for a memorable, once in a lifetime backdrop to any event.

Day Block Brewing is located on level one of the venue, but is run completely separately. They brew their own beer and offer a variety of food, such as appetizers, pizza and sandwiches. Day Block Brewing is available for catering and their tap room can also be rented out for smaller scale events such as bachelor/bachelorette parties, showers and birthday parties.
