D.O.P. is a journey that started with a large family who immigrated from a small village in the heart of Italy in 1979. With them they brought the memories, traditions, and recipes of the old country. For over 14 years my parents operated an Italian restaurant in Ontario. This journey continued when I moved to Calgary, inspired by my father, I continued working in the restaurant industry. His legacy and my exposure to the diverse food culture in the city helped shape the concept of D.O.P. Being a second generation Canadian, I want to honour both my Italian roots and Canadian upbringing, by sharing our families’ recipes and adapting them to our Canadian landscape.We are privileged to share with you the time-old traditions and memories of a family whose passion for Italian cooking created a legacy.
