The scene
CUCINA enoteca exudes a modern Italian kitchen-meets-rustic-farmhouse feel and seamlessly blends innovative cuisine and cutting-edge design in one concept. Downstairs, dramatic ceilings provide an abundance of natural light, welcoming those who wish to enjoy a more intimate dining experience, while upstairs provides an airy, garden-inspired patio experience.
Design
CUCINA enoteca commissioned a community of local and creative talents to co-advise on various interior elements. In the venue, CUCINA enoteca showcases a signature emphasis on custom made creations, locally procured vintage finds and reclaimed and repurposed materials. As a nod to the location’s proximity to the polo fields and the nearby Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, there is an “ode to the equestrian” theme with a cascading wall of collectible Breyer horses in a variety of colors and sizes. The installation serves as a principal design focal point flanking the oversized staircase in the main dining area.
