At nearly 3000 square feet, this private event space is perfect for smaller weddings and other private celebrations. With a hidden kitchen open to all professional caterers, and warm neutral toned open raw space, consider it a blank canvas for you to express your own personal style and creative plans for an amazing event that is as unique as you.

The Scene:
Less than two miles west of Michigan Ave., Creativo Loft sits on a bustling intersection that borders two distinct city neighborhoods, River West and West Town. Guests will be centrally surrounded by artistic, gastronomic, and eclectic neighborhoods as well as classic landmarks of downtown Chicago. The first floor of the building is also home to one of the top rated coffee shops with onsite roasting, and there is also a playwright performance theater that has launched the careers of many great writers and actors from Chicago. Creativo Loft is located on the top floor of this creative arts building, historically known as Baer's Hall. It dates back to 1887, and was originally built by a pioneer fashion retail family in Chicago. The building also was a neighborhood public hall, which was regularly used for social events and other community gatherings. Public hall buildings were once a ubiquitous part of Chicago's social fabric in earlier eras, but now only a few of these historic buildings remain in the city today. In 2012, Creativo Loft revived hosting parties and celebrations at this location, which was a call back to the original history. Less than two miles from Michigan Ave., Creativo Loft is centrally located near downtown Chicago, and easily accessible for guests, whether they are local or traveling from out of town. Several popular portrait locations, including the spectacular skyline, historic bridges, beautiful parks, and many urban offbeat hidden gems are all within short distances, generally within 5 to 15 minutes, of Creativo Loft.
Design:
Entering the main entrance of the building, and also Creativo Loft, guests may first notice our original 19th century tin ceilings and hardwood floors. The cream and champagne gold neutral tones are warm, and in photos make everyone and everything look fantastic with a healthy warm glow. The loft is a blank canvas to be transformed and designed uniquely for each event, with an abundance of light from our large 12-ft tall windows, spacious 16-ft tall ceilings, and neutral ivory and champagne gold walls. There is a small collection of Italian antique accent pieces, including a venetian lantern floor lamp, marble coffee table, as well as other decor accents and accessories that are available for optional use.

Creativo Loft owners are also experienced professional photographers and designers, so many clients take advantage of the multiple service options available for all-inclusive packages. Some in-house options include: professional photography and lighting, event design and coordination, programmable sound system, tables, chairs, linens (or custom rentals are available), ceremony altar set, photobooth backdrop set, lounge furniture, professional printing and graphic design, and more. For events held on Saturdays and Sundays, there is access to a nearby parking lot for guests or transport vehicles.
Extra Perks:
Standard rentals include onsite venue manager, set-up and cleaning crew, security doorman, and optional use of in-house tables, chairs and linens (supplemental and/or custom options may alternately be rented). Although the building is indeed historic and vintage, the loft itself can be a blank slate for you to customize the look and style of event to any style or era, modern or vintage. Creativo Loft offers all-inclusive packages, including photography and event design, as well as simple stand-alone venue rental, for a wide variety of options for your event planning needs.
