Our beautifully renovated space occupies a 1950s church that once was the location of Dallas mogul John Fredrick Zang’s grand estate. Through time the church has evolved to match the growing and eclectic area it resides in. Still boasting its original wood ceiling and brick walls the location that was once home to Dallas’ second largest church congregation now provides the perfect atmosphere for a wedding or special occasion.
The Chatelet name originates from medieval France and is commonly used to reference a small castle. Much like a castle, we hope Chatelet provides a sanctuary for hosts to freely express themselves and to create once in a lifetime memories with family and friends. Throughout the space you will find a grand hall with 18 foot windows, a a spacious outdoor deck, sitting room to mingle, stylish restrooms, and a commercial catering kitchen. Directly connected to Chatelet is The Bishop Arts Hotel, offering 12 themed boutique rooms for convenient on site accommodations.
