- The Scene:
Chanteclaire Farm is a 100-acre farm nestled in the hills of Deep Creek, Maryland. A historic gem, Chanteclaire Farm was the original homestead of the founding family of Friendsville, Maryland. The farm tells the story of a simpler time, when hopes and dreams, hard work and community created a beautiful and prosperous life. Massive hand-hewn beams, aged barn wood and hand-forged nails are small reminders of the soul of the place. Quaint outbuildings wrap around the scene, creating an intimate, private village.
- Design:
- The Barn
The barn’s dining room is warm and inviting, with an open design, soaring exposed timbers, and an irresistible dance floor. The question isn’t if, but when, you’ll kick off your shoes and show off your moves.
The Lower Grange
This objet d'art adorned cocktail bar is where our quirky European sensibility shines through. Before dinner, guests clink glasses and tell stories. Soon those separate lists of friends and family blend seamlessly into one.
The Outdoor Dining Deck & Lower Deck
The upper Dining Deck overlooks the pond and pastoral grounds and provides a place for overflow seating or a getaway for some quiet reflection. The lower deck is the perfect outdoor extension to our cocktail hour, and always draws a crowd. - Standout Venue Features:
- The Silo Bar
A 2014 addition to Chanteclaire, the Silo's transformation into a steampunk bar was internationally televised. We refer to it as "world-famous," and have received messages from around the world from viewers who fell in love with it. The bar itself is constructed of 200-year-old oak threshing wood floors. The stained glass window panels and found-object chandelier are a perfect backdrop for photo ops on the hand-crafted, spiral staircase.
Beau-Coup & Baby Blue
Clients can rent one or both of our vintage vehicles for photo ops and entrances. Beau is a gently rusted 1960 farm truck that looks great as a photo op piled with hay bales and flowers. Baby is a stunning 1965 British sports car that stops guests in their tracks while proving a little something blue. - Extra Perks:
- EXCLUSIVE USE - We allow only two weddings per week so that our couples can feel as though the farm is their own. WEDDING PLANNING & COORDINATION - Our planner works with you from the moment you book to craft every moment of your wedding. On the day of the wedding, we add a coordinator to gently guide the guests and the bridal party so you and your loved ones can fully experience the day. TASTING EVENT - Our unique tasting days allow you to craft the perfect menu while learning how we create epic wedding experiences. DJ/EMCEE - Our handpicked DJs are exclusive to Chanteclaire Farm and specialize in our epic wedding experience. Over 20 speakers hang throughout the facility, creating perfect sound wherever guests wander. VENUE DECOR - the facility already looks amazing, so very little decor needs to be added. TABLESCAPES - Our storage room is a playground of vases, votives, and other decor clients can use freely. CEREMONY SEATING - Folding garden chairs provided for up to 295 guests. DINING TABLES - Chiavari chairs, round tables and linens are included, along with all glassware, dishware and flatware.
- Food, Restaurants, Cafes:
- We go about the gathering of every component of every meal with all the love of a Rockwell Thanksgiving. Being mindful of both flavor and appearance, we go for local whenever the produce is available and gorgeous [we like our produce as pretty as our Brides]. When we can't use the farms next door, we look around the globe for the best quality. We choose very high-quality meats and prepare gloriously simple dishes that capitalize on their flavors and textures. Making time for extra care and attention to the details is our recipe for success and a source of genuine pride for our chef.
