Nestled on 39 acres of mature hardwood forest, Cator Woolford Gardens at the Frazer Center is located on one of the few remaining intact historic estates in Metropolitan Atlanta, just a few miles from the heart of downtown. The Gardens were originally created as part of the estate of Cator Woolford, one of the principal founders of Retail Credit Company (now, Equifax, Inc.). They were brought back to life in 1996 and are currently maintained by The Frazer Center as a special oasis in the city to be enjoyed by the neighborhood. The Gardens also serve as a special event venue and proceeds from all rentals directly support the programs for children and adults at the Frazer Center.
Cator Woolford Gardens at the Frazer Center provides the perfect setting for weddings, parties, reunions and other special events and also offers a lovely alternative for corporate functions like conferences, luncheons, fundraisers, and social retreats. Increasingly, the film industry has discovered the Gardens to be a great setting for movie and television shoots, as well.
With each rental, clients have the ability to use the entire Gardens as well as the indoor Atrium space. The Gardens include a grand ceremony lawn, air conditioned pavilion/bridal suite, 30’x 45’ and 20’ x 20’ white tents with chandeliers, slated patio with globe string lights overhead, bamboo garden, bathhouse with four women’s and four men’s restrooms, large grassy areas ideal for lawn games, and a large circular paved courtyard with Cator Woolford’s original mansion and grand Italian staircase as the backdrop. The Atrium space includes 3,000 square feet of indoor space with floor to ceiling windows, chandeliers on dimmers, glass mosaic mural, and adjacent grass courtyard.
Also included in the rental fee is the use of tables and chairs for up to 180 guests, free parking on site with complimentary shuttle service from the parking lot down to the gardens and back, use of the catering kitchen, along with security and site managers for each event.
