The scene:
Camp Lucy is nestled on a gorgeous Hill Country ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas. The property, owned by Whit Hanks, is named for his mother, Lucy Hanks, and its history as an idyllic family getaway. The unique property has received widespread acclaim for its wedding and special events venues which include an 1880s French Colonial Catholic church imported - piece by piece - from Vietnam, as well as a 1930s French Colonial church reconstructed at Camp Lucy and roofed with 1920s Ludowici tile repurposed from the Bexar County Courthouse in downtown San Antonio. A magnificent events hall was created from a repurposed Amish barn originally built from hand-hewn white oak timbers in the 1800s. A second venue on the property is designed around a majestic grove of ancient live oaks which includes, what the county\'s historical commission has deemed, the biggest live oak tree in the county. Camp Lucy also offers on-site accommodations that combine the sophisticated style and warm hospitality of the Hill Country with world-class luxuries and modern amenities. The cottages at Camp Lucy offer a truly unique Texas experience. Beyond the cottages and venues, much of Camp Lucy is under wildlife management to protect and foster native Texas wildlife. Here, songbirds nest, white-tailed deer roam, and wildflowers and grasses bloom and grow.

Ian's Chapel at Camp Lucy
Ian's Chapel, the original venue at Camp Lucy, is more than just a chapel. This acclaimed venue features a luminous restored French Colonial chapel, majestic Events Hall, dramatic, open pavilion made of ironwood timbers, enchanting bride's cottage, handsome groom's quarters, Old world brick paved courtyard, stone arch and terrace, and lush great lawn.
