Unless you're monstrously strong, this coastal home isn't quite a stone's throw from the shoreline, but it's still very close — in fact, you can walk to the waterfront in three minutes. There's a coastal feel to some of the interior design, namely the soothing blue walls and preference for wooden furnishings, but much of it is pretty contemporary, particularly the white surfaces in the minimalist kitchen and the pristine bathroom complete with a large tub for soaking in after a long day at the beach. The cherry on the cake is the patio, which has an alfresco table and a barbecue for summer evening feasts. When it comes to filling up your itinerary, there's a huge amount to do in the local area. It takes around five minutes on foot to get to the seafront restaurants on The Quay and this is where you can also catch a ferry to Brownsea Island, a great spot for bird-watching.
