Venue Setting
Located between Union Station and Chinatown in D.C.’s East End, Bar Spero is the latest restaurant from Chef Johnny Spero of Michelin-starred Reverie in Georgetown. Inspired by the spirited, fast-paced energy of the Basque nightlife and dining scene, both local D.C. residents and epicurious travelers can expect Bar Spero to be a central hub for creative cuisine and subtly masterful cocktails in a lively, eye-catching, and eclectic space. The menu is a seafood-forward spread focused on Mid-Atlantic fare. Highlighting specialties such as imported Spanish turbot and Autumn Olive pork from Shenandoah Valley, the menu is shaped by the careful sourcing of world-class ingredients. In turn, the cocktail program takes cues from the kitchen, with a focus on high-quality spirits that elevate classic recipes. Guests can also choose from a tightly curated list of wine and spirits, as well as regional beers on tap.
