The Scene:: Ball & Chain opened in 1935 on The Trail, the iconic street in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood now famously known as “Calle Ocho.” Over the next two decades, legendary artists of the day graced the stage, including Billie Holiday, Count Basie and Chet Baker. The world-renowned music venue offers a history as colorful and as fascinating as the community that surrounds it. Officially reopened in November 2021, Ball & Chain has returned with the best music, live entertainment, salsa dancing and cocktails in South Florida.
