Venue Setting
If you're after an address with a bit of heritage, this could be the one. Not only is the home in Plymouth's historic Barbican neighbourhood, but it's also part of the Old Customs House, thought to have been built back in 1586. Inside, however, you wouldn't be able to tell that the building's been around for close to four-and-a-half centuries. The walls have been painted a suitably nautical shade of blue and are livened up by modern light fittings and mid-century furnishings. In one corner, there's a sleek corner kitchen with a parquet-style splashback that will keep you fuelled ahead of exploring the maritime city. The National Marine Museum is only seven minutes' walk in one direction, while Hoe Park sits a similar amount of time in the opposite direction. Jennycliff Beach is only a quarter of an hour's drive if you want a day at the seaside.
