Albatross Ridge Winery specializes in premium Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grown on our Estate in Carmel Valley, just seven miles from Carmel by the Sea. Our recent 2014 release was rated by Wine Enthusiast 94 & 95 points! Albatross Ridge was also recognized by Wine Enthusiast as one of the most Dramatic Vineyards in California.In the early 1930's my grandfather William Hawley Bowlus began launching his one of a kind Albatross sailplanes off the ridges of Carmel Valley. Today our family carries on his avant-garde legacy farming Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on a steep Carmel Valley ridge overlooking the Carmel Bay only seven miles in the distance.
