The 1877 Granite House is one of the finest Ashler cut granite homes in New England, built granite from Granitville. Granitville granite is well know, being used in Grand Central station in NY, the base of the statue of liberty, etc. The main house has a great sunroom that looks out to the Barn-Tavern, firepit, Jordan Brook and the expansive field area. The property boasts a very large driveway for parking, great stone walls, a very large fire pit and views of the forest. On the property is the Barn-Tavern, rebuilt on the original stone foundation using very wide-board lumber milled from the property. The 1877 Granite House and Barn-Tavern has a great, elegant look, but village setting vibe.
