Located in south-central Utah in the heart of red rock country, Capitol Reef National Park is a hidden treasure filled with cliffs, canyons, domes, bridges and fruit trees in the Waterpocket Fold, a geologic monocline (a wrinkle on the earth) extending almost 100 miles. It's the perfect spot for a gorgeous, small wedding, vow renewal or elopement. INSIDER'S TIP: If you’re going to get married in a park, be sure to consult with the park rangers well in advance. They’ll help you get the proper permits, ensure your ceremony doesn’t damage the landscape, and likely give you tips on the best spots (i.e. great views, fewer tourists).
Imagine a place so flat you seem to see the curvature of the planet, so barren not even the simplest life forms can exist. The Bonneville Salt Flats is one of the most unique natural features in Utah, stretching over 30,000 acres. And yet we see the beauty in this barren land, perfect for a very unique couple looking for an inspiring natural landscape for a vow renewal or elopment. It is located along I-80 near the Utah-Nevada border. The Salt Flats were formed when ancient lake Lake Bonneville dried up. The lake was huge, filling much of the Great Basin. It eventually shrank below its outlet and so its water became salty. It's a dazzling white plain, not unlike what one may imagine an alien landscape to look like, and it's just as wondrous.

We’re falling hard for this photo studio and event space in downtown Salt Lake City and not just because it’s so social media worthy.
