The moment Raira and Paulo arrived at the Palace Hotel, the magic began. Inside, historical charm and architecture are met with luxurious yet modern updates from recent renovations. Located in the heart of Downtown SF, the Palace Hotel is the perfect home base for the start of your road trip. Raira’s fave part? Starting her day with breakfast in bed.
It’s hard to believe you’re in San Francisco when you visit Lover’s Lane. A wooded trail that lives up to it’s name, this gorgeous spot inside the Presidio is for nature, art and history lovers.
When you think of San Francisco, what comes to mind? Besides the Golden Gate Bridge, for most, it’s those brightly-colored Victorian houses sitting on rolling hills. Make like the Tanner’s: pack a picnic and enjoy the view.
Does this spot look familiar? A heavily trafficked tourist destination by day, get a fresh outlook on Battery Spencer when visited at dawn with not a fellow instagrammer in sight. Not only will you get all the views bathed in that morning glow, but you won’t have to share it with anyone else.
If you haven’t been here before, this is a huge recommend. A park with full panoramic views, a beautiful swing to take in the sights and more dogs than tourists (yes please!) this quickly became one of Raira’s favorite stops in San Francisco.
Cue the drama, the glam and the modern at this stunning Beverly Hills hotel. Radiating elegance like only Beverly Hills can, book the SLS Hotel when you’re looking for the ultimate 90210 experience.
Home to the famed Urban Light installation outside the LACMA, it’s hard to pick a bad time of day to visit these picture perfect lampposts. Inside tip: SLS Hotel is within walking distance (seriously!) of the museum so you can visit morning, noon and night.
Paulo’s favorite place in all of California? Venice Beach. There’s so much more to this artistic neighborhood than the famous boardwalk. Find an eclectic mix of high end and local artisanal shops, unique dining experiences and awesome community attractions and events.
What is a trip across California without visiting the rugged coastline? At El Matador, massive rocks stand tall in the waves, natural archways frame the sunset and caves are waiting to be explored.
