Château Carsix is located in the department of Eure in the region of Upper Normandy. It is reputed to be one of the three most beautiful chateau in the Eure built in the 18th century. He was erected at the end of the reign of Louis XV by Philippe of Faÿ. It combines the charm of a rural location in the nobility of a construction brick and stone of the mid 18th century. Accompanied by a chapel and side pavilions, the chateau was preceded by a broad perspective framed by lime trees. The arms of the family of Faÿ adorn the pediment of the entrance gate to the chateau.

Occupied until 2009, it was completely restored in keeping the taste of the eighteenth century. The woodwork of rooms and some rooms and floors have been restored (Versailles parquet floors, fireplaces piers, etc.).

Château
The chateau area is 1200m². With ancillary buildings, the total covered area amounts to 2500m in the heart of a wooden park in a quiet environment.

It is composed of:

A ground floor of more than 300m² with 4 spacious lounges and a large kitchen

2 floors dedicated to the 20 bedrooms and 19 bathrooms

A large basement with splendid cellars dedicated into a games room and museum dedicated to Bookend

The independant Banquet Hall (114m²)

Bedrooms
The 20 bedrooms & 19 bathrooms of the chateau were refurbished in 2009 (18 double bed rooms, 2 singles rooms). Each has been decorated with great care and tastefully furnished with antiques. The decor remains faithful to the 18th century with wood panelling, tapestries and paintings.

Each double room has a king or queen size bed and equipped with a modern private bathroom. Extra beds and cots are also available. Two bedrooms communicate with each other for families wishing to stay nearby children. There is also a disable accessible bedroom at the chateau.

Cottages
The venue offers 4 annexs to accommodate a larger number of guests.

" L’école ": 8 studios from 2 to 5 people each with kitchenettes and bathrooms

" La bergerie ": 2 two-room and 5 studios with shower, toilets (sleeps 20 guests in total)

" La maison de Blanche ": 6 guests, 1 furnished kitchen, fireplace and living room

" La maison de Rose ": 6 guests ; 1 furnished kitchen

In total 96 people can be accommodated in the chateau and its outbuildings.
