Whatever your style, for those of you based in LA or headed to LA to begin the process of hunting for the perfect thing to wear on your wedding day, we’ve got you covered. There’s nothing understated about the salon experience at Claire Pettibone’s Beverly Hills castle, but then again, why should there be. This extravagant setup is designed to make you feel as beautiful as you will on your wedding day, especially if you’ll be wearing one of these bespoke, romantic gowns.
These Australian made gowns use French lace that’s sourced right from Calais. The result is a gorgeous collection of statement dresses that’ll make you look as amazing as you feel. Head to the Abbot Kinney flagship store to see these beauties firsthand.
If you’re looking for something locally made and way less mainstream, check out LA based designer Gretchen Dawley’s latest collection. Inspired by the timeworn and celebratory streets of Havana, each of the gowns has an incredible story to tell.

Head out to Pasadena to try dresses from Jenny Yoo, Watters, Marchesa Notte and Rue de Seine amongst others. As far as the shopping experience at Lovely goes, think friendly and welcoming faces peddling indie labels with mid-range price points.
Marchesa, Alyne and Liz Martinez are just a few of the designers you’ll find on the racks at Kinsley James in West Hollywood. If you’re interested in trunk shows, be sure to sign up to their newsletter and keep an eye on their events calendar.
Geared toward the “insatiably curious” bride, Loho Bride on Melrose carries styles that range from edgy and minimalist to airy and ethereal. There’s a range of designers and price points here, and you’ll often find trunk shows on the calendar if that’s more your speed.
The exalted queen of wedding attire, Vera Wang has dressed everyone from Chelsea Clinton to Kim Kardashian on their wedding days, not to mention probably a handful of your own friends too. To be one of the Vera set, there’s a flagship location right on Rodeo Drive.
Whimsical, romantic and glamorous are all words that could be used to describe Sarah Seven’s bridal collections. Totally in sync with the modern bride, this Beverly Hills shop is a great place to kick off your search, in that you probably won’t even need to look anywhere else.
Panache Bridal has locations in Beverly Hills, Pasadena, Costa Mesa and Santa Barbara. You’ll find some of the best labels on their racks, and the sample sales attract big crowds. Think Zuhair Murad, Badgley Mischka and Inbal Dror, just to name a few of the designers they carry.
