The holiday brouhaha is just around the corner and buzzy, beachy Venice is the perfect setting for your shindig. Venice Beach AKA the icon of Los Angeles is great for holiday vacations and parties alike. Whether you decide to host a casual cocktail party or classic dinner shindig, both Winston House and The Waterfront are sure to make your party shine with more sparkles than a New Years Eve disco ball.
The Waterfront is the ideal space to serve your guests cocktails with a shot of seaside scenery, while the Winston House is where you are gonna wanna dance to live music until the clock strikes midnight and beyond. With both of these iconic Venice Beach institutions to choose from, which way will you sway?
In Partnership With: The Waterfront Venice + Winston House
Inside Tip: If your alfresco fête gets a tad chilly, guests can cozy up to one of the many the outdoor heaters or warm themsleves with 'The Heat' cocktail. Think organic red and bell peppers, a touch of pineapple juice, a hint of organic cane sugar and Napa Hibiscus Apéritif and Pale Cream Sherry. Their cheeks will be as rosy as Ol Saint Nick in no time.
The breezy and beautiful 6,000 sq ft restaurant and event space contains four completely different styled areas. You and your crew can select the full venue buyout with ocean views for days and a capacity of 450 guests or opt for the open air 'Beer Garden' event space that holds up to 180. For a more intimate event choose between the 'Lounge' or 'Open Air Garden' event spaces.
The venue will even allow privatization of the entire space for your upcoming holiday party! The secret sauce here is that your guests will step into a space that is as unassuming as the century-old block and brick building it's set in. The style is as timeless as Venice Beach itself which means you can harken back to the olden days and call for a fancy supper club dress code, or opt for a casually cool affair.
Pink sconces emit a festive glow in the wood paneled dining room, and the two bars provide easy access for your cocktail loving guests. No long drink lines here. 'The Lobby Bar' is flanked by bookshelves that hold a host of vintage records, while custom woven pendants hover over round cafe tables. 'The Winston Express' area serves up classic American Fare with Chinese and Japanese ingredients. Your guests will nibble on bites like spicy noodles, Peking duck with tortillas, burgers and avocado salads. For the late night sweet tooth serve delightful sugary treats like donuts and lemon honey sundaes.
Inside Tip: The 2nd floor balcony mezzanine lounge space overlooks the venue and live music stage. It comes adorned with brown velvet club chairs and dark wood paneling where guests can cozy up in one of the brown velvet club chairs with a 90s-inspired cocktail. We recommend serving your holiday party goers a White Russian with coldbrew liquor and macadamia cream. Give them a little extra swig with their swag.
The Scoop: A full venue buyout will accommodate 300 guests. If you are hosting a smaller holiday affair you can rent the 'Front Lobby' or 'Mezzanine' area for up to 75 guests. Hosting a musical performance? Opt for the 'Venue Room' with a stage and room for 100.
