But don’t worry. We won’t keep all the goods to ourselves.
Here’s a round-up of all the cushy, comfy, cozy spots we love this year, many that were suggested directly by you, our readers. Some have been around a while, others are brand new to the scene or just about to open. Mixed among the options are Adirondack cabins in the mountains, cottages along the lakeshore, hot spring havens and summer camps that are open for fall and winter too.

Set in the hinterland of the Mornington Peninsula, just outside Melbourne, this pair of wood cabins sit surrounded by the peninsula’s famous wineries, restaurants, and farms. Each cabin has its own vibe, with one more handmade in feeling, the other brighter and more modern.
Set on Tasmania’s secluded west coast, Captains Rest is a cozy cabin with a jetty perched on the edge of Lettes Bay. The historic house has just one bedroom, a lovely kitchen and living space, and a bathroom with a clawfoot tub.
We just love a cozy, cozy, cozy log cabin and this cabin by Bear Lake in Tennessee doesn’t disappoint. You can sleep a total of six guests here, so head out with the whole family or bring along your dearest friends for a few days of R&R by the fireplace.
You’ll have the option to stay in a barn, a converted dairy or a cabin at this rural Victorian getaway, but we’re here for the cabin. The cozy green-walled cabin was the first to be finished by a father-daughter builder-designer duo, and it’s a stunner. The bathroom is lined with cypress walls and has a cypress tub, and the kitchen has a concrete sink and raw brass backsplash.

If you’re looking for a little slice of Swedish happiness, look no further than the 72 Hour Cabins. Dotted along a lakefront in West Sweden, these glass cabins have been scientifically proven to make guests happier and more relaxed by the end of a 72 hour stay.
If you’ve been considering a trip to Colorado this winter but want to go somewhere that’s secluded, quiet and totally unique, you should check out Dunton Hot Springs. The log cabins here are absolutely gorgeous and there’s no shortage of soaking options in the many hot springs on the grounds.
This historic cottage was built in the mid-1800s for a ship’s captain. Today, it’s a cozy hideaway in the heart of Hobart with a bedroom, a kitchen and all the fixings to feel like a well-styled version of home.
A tiny glass home sits alone in a field beside a fjord, just 40 minutes from Reykjavik. The secluded stay is surrounded by vistas of snow-capped mountains, rolling fields and open sea, all of which can be seen from the comfort of an outdoor hot tub.
