The promise of fresh snowfall and all that soft white powder that piles on the mountaintops is setting our Alpine radar on high alert as we head into the winter season. While we love a day on the slopes as much as the next Olympian, we have even more love for the après-ski hangouts and hotels that offer cozy vibes, beautiful backdrops and design-savvy digs. If you’re about that ski life but also travel mostly because you love designer hotels, Wiesergut has to be added to your bucket list. This 25-suite hotel is luxe, modern and sits just beside Austria’s largest skiing complex.
We’ll admit it, a dip in the giant hot springs pool at Dunton is our highest après-ski ambition. Whether you opt to go heli-skiing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice hiking or dog sledding, the nearby San Juan Mountains prove a gorgeous wintery wonderland.
Soak in your own personal cedar hot tub while gazing out at the ski slopes you’ll hit in the morning. Aman Le Mélézin is a star of the French Alps luxury ski resorts and with its plush accommodations, heated pools and gorgeous vantage point, it’s easy to see why.
