London's coffee shops run the gamut from teeny tiny hole-in-the-wall spots to sprawling landmark locations. What we love about these shops isn't just the latte art, but the people who frequent these beautiful spaces. Coffee culture runs deep in this town and it's easy to spot that as soon as you start asking people for their favorite espresso haunts. From where to get the best biscuits to coffee shops that are run like biker gangs, we've got a little something for every coffee culture type.

Well, this is a first for us. A café set in a 17th century church, Host Café is an incredible space to sit with a coffee and a good book or a good friend.
Allpress Espresso is a worldwide enterprise that drops coffee knowledge like it’s their business all over the place. But the Hackney location might just be our fave.
Okay, okay. Maybe sometimes bigger may actually be better. In the case of this giant space, we’d say it surely is. The grandiose café at the Royal Exchange is one of those places that stuns every single time you walk in.
This little London hole-in-the-wall is all about the coffee accoutrement. Biscuiteers bakes beautiful fresh biscuits with gorgeous icing designs.
A Victorian era scene makes Syrup of Soot stand out. The 19th century digs are located just near the British Museum, making it a perfect pit stop if you’re walking around Bloomsbury.
Maybe it’s the daily roasting, or maybe it’s the fanfare of Sam Smith, but Grind is hot, hot, hot. With locations all over London, it’s hard to pick a fave as all the spaces are modern, airy and bright.
When your neighborhood joint is this good, why go outside Clapham for coffee? Minnow sits just across from Clapham Commons and offers seasonal menus and fabulous coffees and cocktails.
A Soho fave, Tap Coffee recently joined forces with the crew behind Department of Coffee and Social Affairs and we have a feeling they'll be taking over London in no time at all with their cool coffee hangout hubs.
Marathon shoppers understand the importance of a good cup of caffeinated brew while getting their retail groove on. Maybe all clothing shops should take a page from AIDA’s Shoreditch store and offer up fresh chai, matcha, lattes and more.

Still don’t know who Janice is, but maybe you can ask on our behalf if you make it to this Farringdon cafe. The coffee’s great, the space is rad and there’s a lengthy list of local gins if you’re hittin’ the hard stuff.
Located in Covent Garden, Monmouth Coffee is just the kind of coffee shop you'd expect to find in any London neighborhood. It's charming, it's cozy and the flat whites are always done to the perfect temp.
With breakfast items like buckwheat pancakes with blood orange marmalade, yuzu sake posset, honeycomb and orange blossom caramel, it’s easy to see why Londoners love Milk Cafe.
