Grab your big hats and clink your mint juleps, Opening Day at the Del Mar Racetrack is upon us! On July 17th come and celebrate at the San Diego Magazine Opening Day Partyat the newly renovated Morgan Run Club. Having recently undergone a multi-million dollar renovation, it's an open and airy clubhouse venue with beautiful, soaring ceilings, views of the lush golf course, surf and turf brunch and hand-crafted cocktails.
THE REPORT: The renovation at Morgan Run's venue space includes: The club house overlooking the golf course, a new outdoor deck with fire pits overlooking the putting green, a modern dining area boasting a relaxed coastal ranch setting, and an expanded bar, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows and vaulted ceilings! This fresh look encompasses the very feel that is Del Mar and Rancho Santa Fe. Golf course views, neutral colors and large picture windows that let in the California sunshine is so very coastal cool. There are many spaces at Morgan Run, from the sprawling lawns to the newly designed rooms that are ideal venue locations for dinner parties, weddings, social gatherings and more. THE SCOOP: Tickets to the Opening Day Party include entry into the pre-party with hosted surf and turf brunch and drinks, shuttle transportation to and from Del Mar Racetrack and entry into the post-party with hosted cocktails and live entertainment. Come and go throughout the day while enjoying the complimentary shuttle. Horse races will be shown live on televisions at the club via TVG. Non-members are welcome.
